The Halal Guys, a fast-casual franchise, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. for its new locale in New Rochelle at 23 Lecount Pl. that will be hosted by the city's Chamber of Commerce.
The eatery, which will serve authentic halal food like chicken, gyro, and falafel platters, will be the first to open in New Rochelle's Vanguard District, a planned "vibrant hub" of retail, dining, and entertainment meant to attract visitors and offer more incentives for businesses to come to the city.
Menu items to be offered by the restaurant include beef gyro, chicken, falafel, and combo sandwiches and platters paired with sides such as fries and hummus.
Desserts like baklava and cookies are also options.
Those who attend the restaurant's grand opening can take advantage of special offers: the first 100 guests will receive a free small platter, while the following visitors will get 25 percent off their entire order. This will last a week after the grand opening date.
Those who order during the grand opening can also have a chance to win a grand prize gift card.
In addition to the upcoming New Rochelle restaurant, The Halal Guys also operates a locale in Yonkers.
